The versatility of interstage screening systems makes it
the right choice
for various applications:
Carbon recovery
Gold mining
Low tonnage operations
Wedge wire cylinders
Standard diameter cylinders are seamless. Cylinders are flanged together in 2 or 3 sections if preferential wear
occurs at different levels in the tank.
Cylinders are custom-made for specific applications taking the aperture size and
wedge wire profile as well as diameter, height and flange
details into account.
Apertures and materials of construction
The aperture size of the screen is dictated by the carbon or resin size range
All standard aperture sizes are available and the cylindrical welding machine can manufacture any intermediate aperture size
Advanced measurement and control instrumentation allows close tolerances on apertures to be achieved
Cylinders can be fabricated using different profiles specifically designed for the carbon recovery process
The CIP profile has a high release angle to reduce blinding and an improved open area to increase
throughput
The 28 cp profile, also used in the gold mining industry, can provide even longer life
304 stainless steel is used for applications subject to corrosion, while 430 stainless steel is used in
areas that require abrasion resistance properties only
Kambalda interstage screens
Wedge wire screen segment with sealing requirements are supplied for Kambalda
interstage screens.
These segments are custom made for each installation.
Kambalda type Interstage screen panels are supplied ready for installation in all sizes required.
The segments are custom-made and suit the installation.
Kambalda screens are suitable for plants treating up to 350 m3/hr and with tank diameters of up
to 4.2 m.
This interstage screening system is easy to retro-fit to a CIP/CIL tank equipped with an existing
agitator.
The Kambalda panels use the CIP profile, either in 304 or 430 stainless steel and are supplied
with sealing rubber.
No air is required to clean the screening surface during operation.
Multotec Australia can design and supply the complete Kambalda interstage screen including the
support frame,
wedge wire screen segments, overflow launder and wiper blades.
We provide nationwide process support to our
customers through a dedicated team of
process engineers in our network of branches,
subsidiaries and distributors throughout
Australia.
